Dear Administrator:
RE: Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) CY2023 and CY2024 Episodic Rate Increases
This letter provides information about your Certified Home Health Agency (CHHA) Episodic Medicaid reimbursement rates effective January 1, 2023 and January 1, 2024. The annual Episodic rates have been adjusted for minimum wage increases for Upstate (CYs 2023 and 2024), New York City and Downstate Regions (CY 2024), in accordance with Article 19 of the New York State Labor Law.
This rate increase was applied to the October 1, 2022 rates for CY 2023 Rest of State and CY 2024 New York City and Downstate (Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester). The CY 2024 rate increase for Rest of State was applied to the January 1, 2023 rate. The increases are outlined below:
CY2023 – Rest of State 1.83% CY2024 – Rest of State 2.63% CY2024 – New York City 0.61% CY2024 – Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester 0.55%
The payment for the CY 2023 and CY 2024 rates to effectuate Minimum Wage increases will be in Medicaid cycle 2456, with a check release date of October 2, 2024.
